Biljana Marić

BIO

Born November 17th,1953 in Kotor Varoš.

She graduated from the Faculty of Law in Banja Luka in 1976.

​

​

She served as a notary from the establishment of the notary system in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 2008 until 2018.

​

She worked in various legal and managerial jobs:

• Director of the Judicial and Prosecutorial Training Center in Republika Srpska

• Minister of Justice in the Government of Republika Srpska

• Executive Director for Legal Affairs at Zeptel, a private foreign investment company 

• Legal Advisor at the OSCE-Banja Luka Regional Office, Human Rights Section

• Judge of the Basic Court of Banja Luka

• Secretary General of Rudi Čajavec Holding

• Head of Legal Department of Rudi Čajavec Holding with extensive experience in foreign trade affairs.

Published papers in the field of protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms, commercial law, land registry law, and inheritance law.

In the period from 2010 to 2016, she was appointed a member of the Commission for European Affairs at the International Union of Notaries representing the Notary Chamber of Republika Srpska and the Notary Chamber of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She was also a member of the Steering Committee of the Notary Chamber of Republika Srpska.
